I added chapter 8 up on FictionPress and WritersCafe. You’ll find the link to my FictionPress story on the “My Work” page. I didn’t realize before how much longer this chapter was then all the rest. Finally, I finished editing it for your viewing pleasure. I hope that it won’t take too long to do next chapter and so on. After I add chapter 15 though, it will be a while before any others are added, since 15 is the last completed chapter. Chapter 16 is barely started, but I’m crossing my fingers for a speedy completion.

I wanted a few other new items to add, so I uploaded a picture of Kari’s talisman that I created. It’s not the greatest, but it’s what I’ve had sitting on my hard drive. I also added a drawing of Kari’s dagger. I drew it out on paper and then scanned it onto the computer, trying to clean up any edges (I’m a terrible artist). Lastly, I updated the Maharan map. Mostly just a few extra trees and mountains were added to fill in the blank spots. I thought it looked a little blank a while ago.

Now this might be a slight spoiler, but I wanted to add a little something else, so here’s a prophecy Kari finds, but doesn’t think anything of it. As I’m sure you can guess, it’s about her. So if you don’t want to see it, skip the rest of this paragraph, the italics in particular. “When peaceful turns chaotic and land turns white, madness will gain power to destroy all. She will be the cause, but remains the one to sever its power. Alone, she will fail and darkness will reign, but together they may prevail. Within her lies the knowledge, but the answers remain at the base of the mountains. Before it’s over, she will weep and white shall be tainted crimson.” You can try to peace it out, even if you haven’t read any of it, you might be able to figure out some of it I’ve never written a prophecy before, so we’ll see how it works. And with that, I leave you until next time.

Well I still haven’t been able to get my laptop fixed and that’s the biggest reason for not updating my site. It’s been harder having to use my crappy desktop computer to work on. It likes to freeze and restart itself and the internet is picky with when it will actually work. I’m happy to say that I was able to add the newly edited chapter 7 to FictionPress. I wish I could at least update my poor first chapter on here, but for now, FictionPress is still the best place to find my work. I’m hoping to have chapter 8 up before the beginning of next week. Thankfully, FictionPress makes it pretty easy to add my stuff. Feedback is strongly encouraged of course, even if it happens to be telling me that it sucks and I should never write again. Of course I’ll just disregard that, but at least it’s the truth :)

I recently cleaned off the back porch, potting some plants to liven it up, making it a nice place to work when I finally get my laptop back. I like working on paper, but it makes things take twice as long since I still have to type it up in the end anyway. But what can you do?

Recently I thought something was dying in the attic and found out it was in fact baby raccoons. They must be newborns since I hadn’t heard them before and they weren’t moving around. Afraid that their mother hadn’t returned, I poked my head up in the attic and after not seeing any mommy raccoon, started pulling at a chair that was against the cushion where they babies were (I had seen the cushion moving around earlier when I checked). Suddenly, I saw mommy raccoon’s head pop up from behind the cushion and I immediately ducked down. So now I can listen to their constant noise without worrying for them, as much. Too bad I’m a big softy.

Well check FictionPress or this blog for the most recent updates and hopefully I’ll be able to give you more soon.
