I’ve been up to a lot the last month or so. My computer crashed about two weeks ago and I only got it up and running today. I completed a first chapter draft for my second novel. I’m excited to have finished even that tiniest bit. There is still a lot of work to do though. I’ve been doing other work on the book. I wrote a blurb to add to the site, but it’s not up to snuff, so I am going to try again. I’ve been working out character backgrounds and scene ideas, which I think are both going well. I am trying to work in more character point of views in this book, which for me is a little difficult since I am most connected with Kari and am use to automatically using her. It’s a bit more of a challenge and I am up for it.

As for the first book, I’m doing some editing, which is going slow. Before my computer crashed, I had done a quick edit on the first two chapters. Yesterday I went over the first chapter again and am thankful I did. I guess I’m the kind of person who needs to go through multiple times and picks up more and more as I go. I don’t know if or when I might update the chapters I have put up. I am thinking of leaving them as they are for now. Eventually I will be taking most of them down anyway. As for chapter two, it is next on the list. I’m going to concentrate on the first book for a little while and get some of these chapters edited before I write anymore of the second. I’ve been trying to update my blurb, but haven’t finished one yet. Also in the works for the first book, is a new title. I’m on the hunt and hope to find one soon, along with a series title.

My new flash drive should come in handy so it’s a lot easier to backup my work. This should help avoid any loss of material. I’m using OneNote for the second book to keep all my ideas, etc. organized. So far it is working out pretty well. I like having hard copies of things, so might print out a copy soon. There is a lot more on the horizon. Updates should be a little more frequently now. I know as soon as I come up with new blurbs and titles, I’ll add a news item. And thanks for everyone who has showed interest and are helping me to better my story, especially my beta reader who is doing her best to point out my little lapses in judgment.
