fantasy author Katie Runyon.

No, not lots, as in “a lot”. I am talking about Legend of the Seeker, the TV show that is based (only in broad terms) on The Sword of Truth series written by Terry Goodkind. I know many people don’t like the show for what they’ve changed, but I am able to see them as two separate things, which allows me to enjoy it every week. Today, after just watching the newest episode via Netflix, I was given this link. It’s a “recap” of the episode, but made as a joke and I found it pretty funny. So I figured some people, at least those that watch the show, might be interested in taking a look. So there it is, go and have a laugh. It seems the lead actress, Bridget Regan, does. At least according to her tweets.

Thanks to this video of two of the actors from Merlin messing around, I have “You’re The Voice” by John Farnham stuck in my head. There seems to be quite a few videos with clips such as this one. If you watch the show (or even if you don’t), some of them are just funny to watch. Here’s the youtube link for those that want it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXU5EenKi88. You can check out some of the related videos for some more.

barI just spent the last few days changing my blog and news archives over from Nucleus. I did it all manually, since I didn’t trust something else to do it for me. That and I needed to read through them so I could label the posts with different categories. At least I’ve never really been much of a blogger! I lost a few comments, but I think it was worth it. It should at least make adding new blog posts and news updates a tad easier. And every once in a while, I like working on my site.

Even though I’ve found myself working on this thing until 4am, I still made sure to keep myself caught up with the latest episodes of my favorite shows. Which is far too many by anyone’s count. (No wonder I’m not getting any writing done!) I probably have around 2 dozen shows to watch in a given week, which is pretty embarrassing and indicative of my social life. I’m sure it doesn’t help that I even find myself watching shows from Britain. Though, there are only really two I watch from over there.  Merlin and Primeval. After 3 seasons (which are shorter there than they are here) the latter was canceled, but has now been renewed for two more seasons. Unfortunately, those new episodes won’t air until 2011. Both shows have shown on American TV. Primeval was (is?) airing episodes on SyFy. NBC aired the first season of Merlin last fall. Still, not being aired on American TV doesn’t stop me from watching it!

As far as other things go, not much to say. Maybe I’ll be able to get some more writing done there will be more to say next time!

This week was a pain in the butt as far as writing. I thought my last chapter was giving me troubles, but this one proved to be even worse. Usually when I start writing I can write quite a bit before I even realize it. But I struggled all week to even get started. Yesterday, I was so tired I had to take a nap and I don’t take naps. I know I’m tired when my eyelid twitches and boy was it ever. Finally after my nap, I was able to finish the chapter. Then I stepped away for a time, but ended up feeling sick before I could do a quick proof read and put it up. I felt horrible all night and, in part thanks to Stargate sg-1, I didn’t get to sleep until sometime after 4am. Usually I shut the lights off at 1am and nod off. But not last night. Oh well. Super tired today, but I proof read chapter five and added it for those waiting for the newest installment. This also marks about the quarter way mark, which I’m super excited about! I still feel like crap, but there’s no rest for the wicked. The weekend is usually my relaxing days, where I’ll brainstorm a little and catch up on any notes I neglected to add into my notebook on the computer. Tomorrow I might just actually do some writing. I just can’t wait to get this book/series done. And if it’s my laziness that’s stopping me, then I need to shape up.

There is nothing new for the first book at the moment. I’m waiting to hear back from my beta reader and have my chapter finish its cycle on a critique site. Hopefully, next week I will make it up by having an updated version of both chapter two and three. Here’s hoping!

I think the second book is coming along nicely. I have evil plans for everyone and an actual ending for this one. The first book I only knew that Kari was going to defeat Edan, otherwise I was in the dark. But with the second book, I know how it is going to end. It’s not quite an ending though. Since things will continue with the third book. But you’ll just have to wait and see. As excited as I’ve been, I’m not even leaking some things to my family, since I want them to be surprised when I force them to read it. I am the only one in this household that even owns a book, none the less is willingly read one. My mom says within a page, she is out like a light. My brother would rather play his video games and watch inappropriate cartoons. And my step-father, let’s just say that it takes him forever to read just a chapter. So, the only way to get them to read is by force! But I’m okay with that. I am beginning to not want them seeing it until it is in a semi-polished state anyway. Which I hope won’t take too long.

But now it’s time to take me and my sick self and actually do something. But I’ll be back next week.

Wow, it’s been almost three months since I’ve last posted on here. They’ve gone by pretty quickly. I’m now in my new home in PA, but things still aren’t quite settled. Just Monday, we finally picked up my desk/computer chair from our old house. I also was able to pick up my novel backup, since my laptop croaked yet again. This time I’m giving up on it. At least I didn’t lose the page in a half of my latest chapter that I hadn’t yet backed up (stupid me). From this point on, I’m going to make sure I have a up to date copy somewhere at all times.

I’m also officially working. I got a job working in the same place as my mom. Just a simple cashier, but we need the money since my step-father is out of work again. It will probably still be a few weeks or months until he’s able to go back. I’m only working three days a week, but when you have to leave an hour beforehand and don’t even leave work until an hour after you get off, I end up out of the house for 12 hours those days.

Today is Halloween almost everywhere but here. For whatever reason, they’ve chosen to hold it on a different day. For our town it was last Sunday during daylight hours. I find that very strange and it ruins the whole idea. But it’s not like I am going to be going trick-or-treating, but it’s just the principle. There aren’t many houses around here, so it would be pointless anyway.

In writing related news, I did some brainstorming today to formulate some plans for the chapter I’m working on (chapter 18). I came up with a few minor things and wrote two quick paragraphs. Still trying to get back into the mood and get a feel for it again. After more than three months away, it’s a little overwhelming. I am greatly looking forward to it though. I’ve been reading a little when I can and I’ve added some of the ones I’ve completed and that are still on my waiting list to my library, which you can access from the main blog page, if you’re interested. It’s not an extensive list, but it gives you an idea.

Something that I’m looking forward to this weekend is the premier of the TV show Legend of The Seeker, which is based off the Sword of Truth series, written by Terry Goodkind. He’s one of my long time favorites and I saw the 10 minute teaser and it looked great. So I suggest you find out when it’s going to be on in your area and watch it.

Well, that’s all for now. I’ll try to be a little more regular with my updates, but as always, I can’t promise anything.

As the title states, there hasn’t really been anything interesting happening recently. I still haven’t had time to read my second book that I had bought a few weeks ago, but eventually I will. I am now trying to do a little editing for the almost 14 chapters that I have written now. I have A LOT of re-writing to do to fix it up. Of course I wish I knew some of the stuff that I know now, when I began writing; it would have made things a little easier. At least I know when it comes time to write my next book, I will be a little more prepared.

Hopefully around the beginning of next year, there will be a big change around this site. For right now, I will keep the details to myself and fill everyone in when things are a little more concrete. It could happen sooner, but it can also happen later. I am looking forward to the change, I love changing things :)

As for something a little more off-topic, some new shows have started and some are soon to be in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to many of them (Yes, I know I am supposed to be reading and writing and spending less time watching TV, but it just can’t be helped). One of the shows that have already started is Nip/tuck. I like the season so far, so we’ll have to see how the rest pans out. There is of course the long-running series ER, which is ending after this season. Many others on my list include: Crossing Jordan, Supernatural, Gilmore Girls, and CSI.

Well that’s all for now, at least I posted something :)

So I have finally figured out how to center my front page picture so it is always in the center. I am happy with how things are going. Of course there is still the problem of getting people to come, but I am trying to stay positive. Now to talk a little bit about something other then the site; let’s talk about something everyone watches, TV. Now that it is summer time, most of the shows are set to reruns. There are only two summer shows that I’ll be watching so far and they are The 4400 and The Dead Zone. I am a little upset with the first episode of 4400, Lilly was my favorite. I’ll have to get back to you on DZ because it doesn’t start until Sunday.
